The Lāhui Legacy
Fund
Our goal is to create a $5000 scholarship fund that inspires high-achieving academic scholars to take an active role in the engagement of their communities, while motivating them to think about issues in our lāhui.
Applicants will be determined as eligible by an unbiased person/committe (tbd) based on the following criteria:
- Be a resident of the state of Hawai'i
- Currently on-track to graduate with a high-school diploma in 2025
- Consistently maintains a 3.6 or higher GPA throughout the academic year
- Has 8 hours of community service with Pencils to People or has some type of active leadership role in another club/organization that has held events to benefit their community in some way.
- Plan to pursue higher education or trade school
All of these requirements are subject to change, and may change any time before the scholarship is officially announced to applicants.
